THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE LEVEL-OF-EFFORT SUPPORT FOR DEVELOPING A SYSTEM SOLUTION FOR REPAIRING THE HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE ADVANCED CAMERA FOR SURVEYS (ACS) INSTRUMENT USING AN ASTRONAUT-INSTALLABLE REPLACEMENT FOR THE CCD ELECTRONICS BOX THAT INCORPORATES THE SIDECAR ASIC. AREAS OF SUPPORT EXPECTED INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING. 1. SUPPORT DEVELOPING AN ELECTRICAL SYSTEM DESIGN AND CONFIGURATION FOR THE MOST EFFICIENT AND ROBUST USE OF THE ASIC, CONSIDERING THE INTERFACE CONSTRAINTS ALREADY ESTABLISHED BY THE INSTRUMENT DESIGN. 2. PROVIDE MICROCODE DESIGN FOR SUPPORTING THE EXISTING MODES OF OPERATION FOR THE ACS, AS WELL AS POTENTIAL ENHANCEMENTS AND PROGRAMMABLE RECONFIGURATIONS THAT MAY LOWER ON-ORBIT RISK. 3. SUPPORT ACS REPAIR TEAM MEETINGS AND TELECONS AS REQUIRED, INCLUDING TRAVEL TO TEAM PARTNERS' LOCATIONS. 4. PROVIDE ASIC INTERFACE REQUIREMENTS TO OTHER TEAM PARTNERS TO SUPPORT THEIR ACTIVITIES. 5. PROVIDE PACKAGING RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE ACS REPAIR TEAM FOR MOUNTING THE DEVICE ONTO THE NEW PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS. THE CEB IS EXPECTED TO OPERATE AT NON-CRYOGENIC TEMPERATURES, WITH AN AMBIENT TEMPERATURE RANGE OF -50C TO +50C (TYPICAL).
