LAMINAR FLOW TECHNOLOGY FOR SUPERSONIC TRANSPORT AIRCRAFT THE EFFORT WILL ADVANCE THE STATE-OF-THE-ART OF HYBRID LAMINAR FLOW CONTROL TECHNOLOGY FOR APPLICATION TO A SUPERSONIC TRANSPORT AIRCRAFT. BOEING WILL APPLY ITS LAMINAR FLOW CONTROL AND AIRCRAFT DESIGN EXPERTISE TO THE DESIGN AND EVALUATION OF THE SYSTEM LEVEL PERFORMANCE BENEFITS WHICH CAN BE ACHIEVED THROUGH THE USE OF HYBRID LAMINAR FLOW CONTROL TECHNIQUES TO THE REDUCTION OF SUPERSONIC CRUISE DRAG. THOUGH THE USE OF CFD ANALYSIS AND EXISTING EXPERIMENTAL DATA, A LAMINAR FLOW SUPERSONIC AIRCRAFT DESIGN WILL BE DEVELOPED AND THE PERFORMANCE ASSESSED AGAINST A TURBULENT BASELINE CONFIGURATION.
