This position serves as Chief of the Business Technology Management Branch and is responsible for all FORCECOM-enterprise technology governance and programmatic management and provides technical and administrative guidance on complex issues or unusual conditions which affect a wide-range of agency activities with potential for far-reaching scope or impact. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Developing business processes for FORCECOM technology program/project management activities and ensuring the effective cross-functional integration and coordination of agile technology management and its processes Managing lifecycle portfolios for specific technology programs (i.e., mobile devices, development tools, simulators, e-learning, Learning Management Program System, etc.) and coordinating with FORCECOM organizations on technology portfolio management and lifecycle support activities for technology assets/resources. Serving as first line supervisor for military/civilian staff providing the administrative, technical supervision, and human resource management functions necessary for military/civilian staff to accomplish work. Performing as an agent for all technology resource planning, acquisition, sustainment and disposition activities and performs reviews and assists with in-depth, rigorous analyses of technology resource requests. Monitoring the effectiveness and efficiency of programs and operations, analyzing and evaluating program processes and makes recommendations for effective operational change.
