This position is the Chief Process Officer (CPO) for the Office of the Administrator, U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The incumbent provides EIA-wide coordination to realize the highest levels of efficiency and effectiveness for significant programmatic processes as measured by sound product delivery, cost-efficiency, appropriateness and consistency with EIA statutes and policies along with consideration of the insights of the Administrator and the needs of customers and stakeholders. As the Chief Process Officer you will: Ensures systematic expert review of existing and proposed procedures and processes for the collection, and subsequent analysis of data through the establishment and maintenance of an enterprise business process strategy that aligns with the agency's mission and stakeholder needs. Identifies and provides expert advice to EIA leadership on significant production issues as well as potential challenges or deficiencies in the EIA-wide integration of data production, analysis, and overall system management. Leads project-oriented efforts sponsored by the Administrator or Deputy Administrator that require high levels of operational expertise, system-based solutions and that have significant cross-agency implications or requirements, including identification and development of processes that overcome existing inefficiencies and/or offer capabilities for enhancing current products to fill crucial gaps in EIA data and analytic coverage. Collaborates with other organizations within EIA, DOE, and outside stakeholders to assure that the best possible procedures and processes are being followed commensurate with resource availability.
