Notice ID: DOIPFBO230007 Description The National Park Service’s public website, NPS.gov, is running CommonSpot content management system (CMS) by PaperThin, Inc. NPS.gov is a large site containing over 300,000 pages with content provided by over 1,000 NPS web authors. The website has increased its traffic every year since implementation of the CMS, and now receives over half a billion page views a year. NPS.gov has a complex technical architecture utilizing an advanced CMS configuration consisting of separate authoring and delivery servers, multiple separate CommonSpot environments (e.g. development, production, etc.), and a Cloudfront content delivery network (CDN). There is a web help desk ticketing system for web authors to request and receive support on website problems they encounter. There is ongoing web development for creating requested new capabilities, ensuring Section 508 accessibility compliance, improving website performance, enhancing the security posture, etc...
