As a Supervisory IT Specialist (InfoSecurity/Policy) GS-2210-15, your typical work assignments may include the following: Providing administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit. Developing long range plans for IT security systems that anticipate, identify, evaluate, mitigate and minimize risks associated with IT systems vulnerabilities. Formulating long range policies and developing and implementing strategies and management guidelines for complex and changing information technology systems. Identifying significant actual and potential cyber security problems, trends, and weaknesses. Resolving integration issues related to the implementation of new systems within the existing infrastructure. Participating on agency, Federal, and non-governmental committees relative to equipment and system software policy and technology planning. Providing first line communications, which includes problem determination, problem resolution, and making recommendations to resolve IT issues and requirements.
