“Summary  The Supervisory IT Specialist (Chief Architecture and Design Section) position is located in the Chief Information Officer Organization (CIOO), Division of Information Technology (DIT), Enterprise Strategy Branch (ESB) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in Washington, D.C...”  “Duties  The Chief of the Architecture and Design Section has responsibility and authority for leading and managing all aspects of the FDIC's Enterprise Architecture (EA) practice.  Specific tasks and functions pertaining to the job include, but are not limited to:  Designs, implements, and manages an agency-wide EA practice to facilitate the implementation of business goals and priorities and achieve strategic outcomes.  Develops working relationships with enterprise stakeholders to understand current and emerging business needs, strategies, and desired outcomes, and determines how EA can most effectively support those needs, strategies, and outcomes.  Develops and maintains a portfolio of EA services, including EA advisory/consulting services, that are offered to business and IT stakeholders.  Establishes EA governance frameworks, policies, goals, objectives, processes, guidance, and performance measures to ensure the effective implementation of the EA practice.  Establishes EA standards, principles, models, and tools based on industry practices, Federal frameworks, requirements, guidance, and business needs.  Assists with technology portfolio management efforts, including the introduction of new technologies and the retirement of legacy systems and technologies.  Conducts business architecture analyses to understand the needs of stakeholders and support IT strategy development and implementation.
