G2X TAKE: 8(a) HUBZone small business Simple Technology Solutions has been awarded a 5-year, $19M contract by the Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide Single-Family Mortgage Asset Reporting Tool (SMART) Business Service Provider support services. There were three other bidders for the contract, which was 8(a) competed using GSA Multiple Award Schedule.
The company is led by Founder and Managing Principal Adrian Rich; Principal, Chief Technologist Aaron Kilinski; and Principal, Business Development Betsey Hutton.

HUD’s SMART System is a comprehensive loan servicing system. Two sources of information are fed into the SMART UI: (1) SMART interfaces with the HUD Claims system (A43C) to manage program activity related to Partial Claims loans occurring on a daily basis. (2) The loan wizard found in the SMART UI. This feature allows the loan servicing contractor to manually enter a non-partial claim loan into the system. Read more here.
