Duties Provide technically authoritative advice, technical execution, and guidance to Data Center Division Director and senior Departmental program officials on managing day-to-day data center operations effectively and efficiently through technical management and hands-on activities to meet Department-wide requirements, including operations and maintenance of data centers, hardware/software configuration management, data management, migration of on-premise systems to Cloud, supporting modernization of IT systems, performance monitoring, and continuous monitoring activities in support of information assurance goals, policies, and programs. Plan, coordinate, and direct activities related to planning, implementing, and monitoring Data Center tools, products, and capabilities to support decision making related to IT solutions to meet Departmental business goals while adhering to several important mandates including, but not limited to, the following: OMB Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative (FDCCI) (2010); OMB FITARA Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI) (2016); OMB Memorandum M-14-08 PortfolioStat Guidance. Provide oversight for system administration and database administration for HUD Test Center infrastructure to ensure that environments appropriate to test applications and systems requested for introduction (or update/upgrade) into the HUD production environment are compliant with all relevant cybersecurity requirements and that build guides and other associated system documentation can be validated.
