You will serve as a Supervisory AST, Technical Engineer Operations Management in the Laboratories, Development and Testing Division, as the Branch Chief responsible for advising, administering, supervising, or performing professional, scientific, or technical work concerned with engineering or scientific projects, systems, processes, equipment, devices, materials or methods. Duties: Serves as a Branch Chief responsible for supervising engineers and scientists in the performance of research and technology development work. Defines jobs, selects employees, and assigns work; defines technical work requirements and milestones. Evaluates the organization and employee accomplishments by providing peer review of work, accepting or rejecting work products; presents the organization's work to senior management and other offices. Recommends employee promotions and recognition; approves leave; implements performance modifications and takes corrective actions as appropriate. Performs multiple functions which may include, but not limited to, planning, design, test and evaluation, cost analyses, program and project management, quality management for projects.
