Re: Solicitation Number: V3002023 “The United States Department of Transportation (DOT), Research and Innovative Technology Administration (RITA), Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center) of Cambridge, MA, intends to issue a sole source solicitation for a Communications and Operations Research Analysis (CORA-II) Support Services bridge contract. It is anticipated that a majority of the work will be performed on-site at the Volpe Center. This requirement is being conducted as a sole source acquisition with award to DIGITAL iBiz, Incorporated (iBiz). The Volpe Center is actively working the follow-on competitive 8(a) set aside multiple award IDIQ for Support for Communications and Operations Research and Analysis (SCOAR) services. Given unforeseen changes to the award schedule, this bridge effort is required to ensure continuity of essential communications and ORA services beyond the current CORA end date of September 30, 2019, and to allow a successful transition period for the follow-on SCOAR contracts. The subject contract effort will have a period of performance of approximately one month beginning October 1, 2019, and will include three one-month optional line items, for a total period of performance through February 6, 2020, should all options be exercised.
