As the Director, Technology and Program Solutions you will serve the needs of the Large Business and International (LB&I) Division in the areas of case management, technology systems and security, program planning and coordination, case quality review, case closing, and the creation and maintenance of internal management documents. As the Director Technology and Program Solutions your duties and responsibilities include: Providing leadership for identifying and monitoring all LB&I business system process requirement activities, including re-engineering, work systems design and othertechnology projects. Directing and reviewing LB&I requirements for development activities to ensure all System Life Cycle processes are accurately completed. Ensuring a disciplined repeatable systems management approach is used to assess, prioritize and carryout assigned duties and responsibilities. Promoting case quality and collaboration through a standardized review process. Engaging internal and external stakeholders through the administration and analysis of customer satisfaction and employee surveys to improve LB&I's balanced measures. Providing executive leadership, guidance, and direction for management strategies, policies, programs, and systems, that effectively motivate, evaluate, and reward employees and provide a supportive environment for creativity and innovation. Coordinating program activities with other top-level IRS executives to prepare Service-wide policies, address cross-functional issues, develop strategies, and ensure consistency of approach. Providing executive leadership and direction through subordinate managers that are geographically located nationwide. Delegating sufficient authority to subordinates to effectively manage their resources and to provide a supportive environment for creativity and innovation. Acquiring and leveraging all human, physical, electronic data, and financial resources of the assigned area and allocating these resources in accordance with overall strategies to further the accomplishment of specific goals. Continuously evolving to keep pace with LB&I's filing population, which competes in a dynamic, rapidly changing, global economy. Staying abreast of a broad range of current developments, trends, policy considerations, legislative proposals and legal matters, and its effect on Federal tax administration. Remaining aware of the internal climate that affects policies of the Internal Revenue Service and collaborating with other IRS executives in setting priorities and objectives for LB&I. Cultivating an environment of continuous learning to support a flexible workforce with focused training, foundational skillsets, specialized knowledge, and dynamic tools. Supporting the use of data analytics and examiner feedback to enhance workload selection with intended compliance outcomes. Gathering, assessing, and incorporating feedback to ensure continuous improvement through defined metrics. Supporting an integrated set of tailored treatment streams to improve flexibility to address current and emerging issues and achieve compliance outcomes.
