"The incumbent will report to the Chief of the Administrative Systems Office. This Supervisory IT Specialist position will serve as the Deputy Chief of ASO, responsible for assisting the ASO Chief in the leadership, management, and oversight of the administrative systems portfolio for the federal judiciary...The Deputy Chief is also responsible for managing the administrative support staff and ASO's Security and Data Integration Staff."
Assisting the ASO Chief in the leadership, management, and oversight of approximately 70 subordinate staff.
Assisting the ASO Chief in developing and maintaining the long-range strategic plan for administrative systems and the office.
Ensuring that ASO is adequately resourced to perform its mission and overseeing day-to-day business activities in the office, including financial management, budgeting, staffing, space, resources, travel, payroll, leave and training.
Providing leadership and support for judiciary/AO-wide initiatives to strengthen the delivery of information technology services.
Overseeing the development and execution of annual business plans for the office and monitoring the performance of all office programs.
Leading change through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and aligning programs, products and projects with the long-range strategy, priorities, and resources.
Overseeing information security program for administrative systems and promoting process improvement throughout the organization.
Providing leadership and support for AO organizational initiatives as a member of the AO Management Network.
Engaging and coordinating with other government agencies and organizations on behalf of the judiciary's interests and requirements.
Assisting the ASO Chief in advising the AO and judiciary leadership on changes and emerging technologies affecting administrative systems in the federal sector."
