G2X TAKE: Cheryl Powell, armed with perspective gained over two decades in the public and private sector aligning innovative solutions to the Government’s biggest Healthcare challenges, has taken on a new challenge as Vice President (VP), CMS with Ad Hoc, a digital services company and experienced CMS partner.  In posting about the move, Ad Hoc said: “The Ad Hoc team is excited to welcome Cheryl Powell as our new VP leading our work at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). She has extensive experience at CMS and other healthcare leadership roles in the private sector. Her outstanding credentials will help Ad Hoc continue to expand and strengthen our support of CMS. Welcome, Cheryl!” See the post here.  Prior roles include:  Senior Principal, Medicare|Medicaid Coverage, Payment & Equity Department - MITRE  Associate Partner & Vice President – Federal - IBM Watson Health Director, IT Investment Portfolio Management Group, Office of Enterprise Information - Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Take Bytes  Ad Hoc is a familiar partner to CMS with recent awards to include a $32M Medicare Coverage Tools 2.0 contract.  Among the company’s featured case studies are an effort to Modernize how Medicare beneficiaries find and enroll in plans, and an effort involving the development of a website to validate coverage data. Led by Chief Executive Officer, Greg Gershman, a 2022 FedHealthIT Hall of Fame inductee, this is just the latest strategic move for Ad Hoc who also recruited Arti Arthur to be VP, Head of Growth, and Isabella Fuentes to support Federal Growth & Strategy; and who recently tapped Nancy Whittier to be Vice President, Federal Civilian and Kathy Keating to be VP Technology.
