G2X TAKE: Competed as a woman-owned small business set-aside on CMS SPARC, this 8(a) HUBZone and WOSB just secured this highly competitive 5-year contract to sustain and transform the CMS Master Data Management ecosystem.
Awardee Next Phase is no newcomer to CMS, with this task award only adding to their many years of experience supporting CMS on 17 different programs which encompass application development, data management, business intelligence, and data analytics. Front and center to this contract for Next Phase will be ensuring a smooth transition of operations and maintenance, while modernizing the MDM platform.
Next Phase appears to have won this contract by leveraging their past experience performing on several major master data management contracts in the commercial sector and they are understood to have bolstered their technical and contract performance credentials by teaming with incumbent contractor, CSRA.
President, Lisa Wolff and the team at Next Phase are one small business worth keeping an eye on at CMS as they locked down partnerships last summer to cement their long-term re-compete positions on other key CMS programs such as Open Payments, OnePI, and Integrated Data Repository (IDR) and, while not Health specific, they have been on a bit of a streak of late adding four Prime contract wins in so many weeks, to include three NOAA contracts and a Salesforce development and integration contract which will serve a major health insurance company.
