G2X TAKE: Looking to leverage Kevin Larsen’s experience serving as the Health IT SME and Advisor leading the HHS Indian Health Service Health IT modernization project, and prior experience leading the enterprise implementation of lean process and quality improvement across CMS, Optum has added a new Senior VP.  In his new role Kevin will serve as a Clinical executive to lead the OptumLabs research agenda and the Optum Enterprise Strategy condition-centric management innovation program. Prior roles include: Senior Health IT Adviser - U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Enterprise Lean Lead and Health IT Advisor - Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Medical Director of Meaningful Use - Office of the National Coordinator of Health IT Take Bytes The Optum team has made several big hires over the past couple of years, to include adding Patty Horoho as the CEO of Optum’s federal health service business; experienced growth leader, Dev Nathan as a VP for Federal Healthcare Strategy & Growth; and Karoom Brown as the new CEO for its Federal Health IT Subsidiary. They also recently added former Chief Medical Officer, Deputy Administrator, and Director Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation, Patrick Conway as a Senior Executive in Residence.
