**Updated 7.26.16  G2X TAKE: Having only recently announced the DHA Chief of Staff who spent the last three years in support of the MHS CIO was on the move, it appears Eric Huweart has found a new home with industry as VP for Military and Veterans Healthcare at Apprio. Apprio has developed an excellent reputation for their expertise at the intersection of health care and emergency management. Given his experience and insight gained in support of several major initiatives and as an advisor to the DHA Director on all aspects of the $2.1B annual HIT portfolio & EHR acquisition, Eric Huweart will only help to bolster Apprio’s position as they look to grow their footprint across DoD and VA.  ** Added 6.29.16 G2X TAKE: After spending the last three years with Defense Health Agency as Chief of Staff in support of the Military Health System CIO where he advised the DHA Director on all aspects of the $2.1B annual HIT portfolio & EHR acquisition, it appears that Eric Huweart is on the move. Given his recent experience at DHA and as the Deputy CIO for the Air Force Medical Service prior to that, Eric should find plenty of suitors for his services and insight should he move to industry. More aggressive firms will have already made a call to congratulate and inquire about gaining his expertise, so we wouldn’'t delay too much.
