G2X TAKE: SDVOSB Oddball recently beat out one other bidder to be awarded a new task in support of the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) within the Department of Veterans Affairs. The task, valued at $9M was awarded using CEDAR as an SDVOSB set-aside action. Under the award, Oddball’s VA Notifications strike team will continue to focus on notifications on the VA.gov platform (email confirmation, status updates, payments) while its VANotify product team’s mission shall be to improve the overall experience and quality of communications with Veterans using modern digital technology, by building a centralized and self-service platform through which business lines and development teams can send communications to Veterans. In a comment to G2Xchange the Oddball team shared: “Oddball's footprint within VA grows steadily and it is a true testament to the incredible folks like Allison Schulhof and Emily Allan." Take Bytes Oddball [eventmember]was among a small handful of awardees named last Spring to the $247M VA Customer Experience, DevOps, and Agile Releases (CEDAR) IDIQ. This 5-year vehicle is intended to provide Agile, DevOps, User Centered Design, and other modern software development methodologies in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ on-going transformation efforts and VA’s digital modernization strategy. This past Fall Oddball was awarded a $9M Veteran Facing Services Technology Enhancements for Vaccine Information Effort task via CEDAR, continuing to build on their footprint at VA following their very recent first Prime Federal award, a $78M Veteran-Facing Services Platform (VSP) support contract win.
