G2X TAKE: Beating out four other bidders Leidos was recently awarded this task to provide a range of services, to include data center operations, systems security, systems architecture services, technical advisory and infrastructure services, enterprise applications management services, data center IT facilities, service desk/configuration management database support, and command center support.  The set of services provided above come from this RFI and draft SOW issued last October, which further details the role Leidos will play in support of both current IT Operations and Services (ITOPS), Infrastructure Operations (IO) needs and in support of emerging needs as VA transformation efforts continue. Kforce Government Solutions (KGS) is understood to have been a key partner to Leidos on this bid.  Clearly a big win for Leidos and one that would make the year for most firms. With the EHRM award believed to be on the near horizon, these strategic contract awards will only help as they look to further cement themselves as a contender for any future enterprise needs at VA and as a strategic partner to Cerner.
