Duties The Deputy Director position has direct supervisory oversight and responsibility for the following services: Facilities Management, Financial Management, Health Administration, Veteran Experience Office, Employee Engagement, and the Office of Care Coordination. The incumbent also acts as the Executive liaison to Human Resources, ITOPS, ISO, and Veterans Center. These essential services are critical to the operation of the healthcare system and each has initiatives and performance measures that contribute to the success of the organization. In managing the administrative resources of the Philadelphia VAMC the incumbent provides leadership and guidance to all Service Chiefs, and Site Managers (e.g., Budget, Manpower, Equipment, Space Management and Education Funding). In addition, the incumbent will co-chair a variety of committees. Through leadership and chair assignments, the incumbent provides consensus recommendations on resource allocation, redistribution, and priorities based upon program needs, for final decision by the executive team.
