G2X TAKE: Jerry (Drew) Craig, armed with experience being responsible for a variety of programs and initiatives designed to improve the Veteran experience, has been tapped by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as Assistant Director (Acting), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Strategic Program Management Office.  Jerry brings recent experience collaborating with a variety of Veteran related stakeholders to include the US Department of Labor, Veteran Service Organizations, State Department of Veteran Services, and non-profit and corporate entities.  In this new role, Jerry will be responsible for a variety of programs and initiatives designed to improve the customer experience for Veterans, their families, and survivors when they engage VA to access the benefits and services they've earned. Additionally, Jerry will lead 10 senior staff members in various career fields to include a customer experience analyst, writers, editors, and a designer; and will collaborate with a variety of Veteran related stakeholders to include the US Department of Labor, Veteran service organizations, State Department of Veteran Services, and non-profit and corporate entities.  Prior roles include:  Deputy Director, Benefits Experience Directorate, Veteran Experience Office (VEO) – Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)  Team Lead (Security Specialist) - Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)  Site Manager (Security) - Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
