G2X TAKE: Matt Ginty, armed with perspective gained supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs for more than a decade, takes on a new challenge with VA as Director for Software Category Management, Office of Strategic Sourcing, OIT.  Matt brings direct experience working on and negotiating firm-fixed-price (FFP), time and material (T&M), and cost type contracts for research and development (R&D) and major weapon systems from time with the Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) at the Department of the Army, as well as highly complex Information Technology (IT) hardware, software, and services in support of VA.   Matt lays claim to recent experience responsible for a procurement Division of four Contracting Officers performing the full range of pre- and post-award activities for multi-million-dollar acquisitions for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
