G2X TAKE: While perhaps not huge in scope, the third award in recent months at the Department of Veterans Affairs for CivitasDX, a service-disabled Veteran-owned small business JV, intended to provide Tier II support services and support for the full range of functions performed by the VBACO desktop support of both internal VA and remote VA customers, caught our attention. The task, valued at $4M over 5-years and drawing a total of four bidders, was awarded as an SDVOSB set-aside action using T4NG. Take Bytes CivitasDX lists capabilities in Agile Software Development, Digital Workflow Transformation, Healthcare IT Usability, Systems Integration, and Knowledge Management and Analytics. Source: CivitasDX This award follows a $96M IT Legacy Sustainment Applications and DevSecOps support services task this team picked up just this Fall and a very recent task for administration and network infrastructure support, core infrastructure support, system administration, and inventory control support services. It was just last Summer that Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) announced that Halfaker and Associates, LLC, an SAIC company, and Cognitive Medical Systems, had acquired CivitasDX, a certified service-disabled, Veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) joint venture to optimize digital experiences between citizens and their governments. More on that here. At the same time as this announcement, CivitasDX novated a T4NG Prime contract previously awarded to The Informatics Applications Group (TIAG). Agile Six Applications had acquired TIAG’s Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology Next Generation (T4NG) business unit, which included TIAG’s T4NG contract vehicle and work supporting the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), in 2017. More here. We should also note that both Douglas Burke, Cognitive Medical Systems, President and Co-Founder and Dawn Halfaker, former Owner and CEO of Halfaker and now SAIC VP, were inducted into the inaugural FedHealthIT100 Hall of Fame Inductees, an exceptional group of individuals that has distinguished themselves time and again as winners of the FedHealthIT100 Awards for the impact they are making within the Federal Health community and in support of Federal Health missions.
