CATAPULT WIRE ROPE

The Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Land and Maritime, is issuing a pre-solicitation notice for the procurement of catapult wire rope under NSN 1720-01-292-9873. This requirement is a total small business set-aside (SBA) and will be conducted through other than full and open competition, as Cable Moore Inc. (CAGE 9R424) is the sole approved source for part number 522045-940-0. The acquisition is classified under NAICS 336413, Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing, and PSC 1720, Aircraft Launching Equipment.

The government intends to award a five-year, firm-fixed-price, indefinite quantity contract with a maximum value of $1,099,716.96. The performance period consists of a three-year base period followed by two separately priced one-year option periods. Because the item is not categorized as commercial, the agency will utilize Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation.
