STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)
Project Title: Acquisition of Symphonie Aqua Compact + CA800 COM
Requesting Service: Prosthetics Department
Facility: Kansas City VA Health Care System (KCVAMC)
Program Need Date: May 2026
Contract/Item Number: 1332676
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Statement of Work is to outline the requirements for the purchase, delivery, and implementation of the Symphonie Aqua Compact System with CA800 COM components. The system is required to enhance the precision and efficiency of prosthetic socket impressions through advanced weight bearing casting technology.
2. Background
The Prosthetics Department currently utilizes traditional casting methods that do not consistently capture residual limb anatomy under true weight bearing conditions. These limitations lead to extended fabrication timelines, repeated adjustments, increased material usage, and reduced patient comfort.
The Symphonie Aqua Compact System is specifically designed to produce anatomically accurate, full weight bearing impressions using a specialized, distally fixed membrane. Adoption of this system is expected to significantly reduce remakes, improve clinical outcomes, and streamline prosthetic fabrication workflow.
3. Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, accessories, documentation, and training required for full operational use of the Symphonie Aqua Compact System. This includes:
Delivery of the Symphonie Aqua Compact + CA800 COM
Installation and setup at KCVAMC
Verification of system function in accordance with manufacturer standards
On site user training for clinical and technical prosthetics staff
Delivery of all manuals, warranty information, and product documentation
This SOW includes delivery, installation, configuration, and staff training.

Ability to generate plaster impressions under full weight bearing load
Specialized, distally fixed membrane capable of capturing uniform anatomical detail
Use of patient weight and limb girth to produce accurate pressure distribution
Ability to support mobile use with an equalizing tank
Production of anatomically precise limb impressions that reduce corrective adjustments
5.2 Training Requirements:
The contractor shall provide on site training for designated prosthetic clinicians and technicians. Training must include:
System operation and setup
Safety and proper use guidelines
Impression taking techniques using the Symphonie Aqua system
Cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting
6. Deliverables
The contractor shall provide the following deliverables:
One (1) Symphonie Aqua Compact System
CA800 COM components
