Solicitation N0040626Q0125 was issued as a combined synopsis and solicitation for the procurement of Brand Name Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Enersys replacement batteries. Managed by the Clerk Temporary Emergency agency, the requirement supported the USS MOUNT WHITNEY (LCC-20) and was classified under NAICS code 335910 for Battery Manufacturing and PSC 6135 for BATTERIES, NONRECHARGEABLE. The acquisition was designated as a 100% small business set-aside with an SBA set-aside status. Although a response deadline was initially established for May 11, 2026, for a firm-fixed-price purchase order, the government cancelled the solicitation in its entirety via amendment on May 14, 2026.
Before the cancellation, the government intended to award a contract to the responsible offeror providing the best value based on price, delivery, technical acceptability, and past performance. Required deliverables included an authorized distributor letter from the OEM and a detailed capabilities statement. The place of performance was designated as the USA, with shipping terms specified as FOB Destination. Administrative documentation for this notice included the original solicitation and two amendments, one of which provided responses to offeror questions and extended the initial due date. Brian Schuyler served as the primary point of contact for the requirement.
