The Federal Bureau of Prison, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to award a sole source procurement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Becton Dickinson Pyxis (BD Pyxis), 3750 Torrey View Court San Diego, CA 92130-2635 for the provision of the lease of a Pyxis ES Medication Management System for the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Ashland. Services will include the lease, technical support, and maintenance on a Pyxis ES Medication Management System (according to the Statement of Work) that has a portal utilized by the Bureau of Prisons nationwide and is proprietorial to Pyxis. Therefore no other dispensing machine is compatible. The period of performance for this procurement will be a 12 month base year from date of award with (4) 12 month option year periods. The NAICS Code is 541519. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. Other vendors who believe they can meet the requirement may provide written notification to the contracting officer by 1:00 PM CST, January 24, 2019. Supporting evidence must be furnished in detail to demonstrate the ability of the vendor to supply services that will meet the requirement in a satisfactory manner. Vendor must also provide references and show competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
