Parking Spaces

The following is Notice of Intent for the above referenced requirement. The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate a sole source award with Colonial Parking in Washington, DC for parking at two separate locations (400 Virginia Avenue and the International Trade Commission Building (ITC) at 500 E Streets, SW. The requirement is for vehicle parking spaces, parking permits including key cards and validation stickers for the two locations. BACKGROUND: Colonial Parking is the only known source capable of providing parking at the two locations. The requirements include the following: (1) 32 unreserved parking spaces and 1 reserved parking space for the ITC building location, security reasons dictate that the parking be at the building be underground or next door; (2) 5 unreserved and 5 reserved parking spaces for the Virginia Avenue location the parking must be within one block of access to the front of the building or next to the building for security reasons. Other organizations possessing the ability to provide parking and other services in the Washington, DC locations listed above are invited to submit information concerning their capabilities. This is not a request for proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of the data received. No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received; however, this information will be used in SSAs assessment of capable sources. SSA anticipates the award of a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) type contract. The period of performance will be for a 12 month base period, with four 12-month option periods. SSAs estimated date for release of the solicitation is on/about November 3, 2008, of which quotes will be due approximately 21 days from the date of release. Any amendments or other information relative to the solicitation will be posted to this website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested sources are encouraged to REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. Responses to this notice should be submitted in writing and refer to Parking Services.
