Preventive Maintenance & Repair of Stryker/Berchtold Operon D860 Surgical Tables

PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) intends to award a sole source contract to Stryker Sales, LLC to provide preventive maintenance and repair services on Stryker/Berchtold Operon D860 surgical tables. This procurement is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13. The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, software, facilities, transportation and supervision necessary to complete all work associated with performing preventive maintenance and repairs on five (5) model Operon D860 surgical tables. Based on market research it has been determined that Stryker Sales, LLC is the only vendor capable of providing all necessary services in accordance with original equipment manufacturer requirements. It is anticipated that any contract award for these services will include the clause at VAAR 819.212-71, Gray Market and Counterfeit Items. Therefore, the awardee shall be an OEM, authorized dealer, authorized distributor, or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment/system, verified by an authorization letter or other documents from the OEM. The applicable North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 811210, medical andsurgicalequipment repair and maintenance services. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
