The Department of the Air Force, specifically the 28 CONS PKC at Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota, has issued this sources sought notice to identify capable vendors for the procurement and installation of a new water jet machine. The requirement involves a cantilever-style X-Y-Z axis water jet machining center featuring a minimum X-Y cutting envelope of 100” by 55” and a minimum 30 hp direct drive pump system capable of 60,000 PSI. The system must utilize a Windows 10 64-bit operating system to comply with Department of Defense security directives and include waterjet-specific software with 12 standalone controller seats for facility training computers.

Specific salient characteristics include a programmable motorized Z-axis with at least 8” of travel, a 600lb bulk abrasive delivery system, and a programmable solids removal system.
