The United States Geological Survey intends to award a non-competitive purchase order in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, to Life Technologies Corp, Grand Island, NY for lab equipment supplies, to be delivered to the USGS Leetown Science Center. The period of performance is one year from the date of award. There are two one-year option periods. Life Technologies Corp. is the only known source for reagents and expendable supplies for the owned equipment. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a). All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation no later than 08/07/2018 which shall be considered by the agency. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
