64-DAY DRY CARGO TIME CHARTER

The Military Sealift Command (MSC) Headquarters in Norfolk is conducting market research to identify U.S. and foreign-flag Roll-on/Roll-off (RO/RO) vessels for a 64-day dry cargo time charter. The mission involves transporting approximately 232,000 square feet of military cargo from Charleston, South Carolina, to Tacoma, Washington. The government is using this Sources Sought notice to assess industry capacity and refine its acquisition strategy for a layday period scheduled between July 1 and July 31, 2026. Responses will help MSC evaluate technical specifications, such as vessel door dimensions and deck clearances, required for moving heavy military equipment. The vessel must be capable of transporting 232,000 square feet of military cargo during a July 2026 layday window. The MSC Strategic Sealift Program Office is researching the availability of RO/RO vessels for a 64-day charter to transport 232,000 square feet of military cargo, including tracked and wheeled vehicles.
