This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because there is only one responsible source due to a unique capability provided, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements (FAR 6.302-1). The Army Contracting Command-New Jersey (ACC-NJ), Picatinny Arsenal NJ, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager Combat Ammunition Systems has awarded, on a Sole Source basis, an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ), Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract which contain five (5) one year ordering periods to manufacture and deliver the Modular Artillery Charge Systems (MACS) M231/M232A1 Combustible Case Assemblies. The award was made on 18 May 2015 to Esterline Defense Technologies (c/o Armtec Defense Products) and will be performed in Coachella, CA.
