F - Grande Ronde Restoration Project

The Forest Service is seeking contractors for the Grande Ronde Restoration Project located in La Grande, Oregon. This project encompasses habitat restoration on 1.25 miles of the Grande Ronde River at Vey Meadows, gravel hauling from the Mine Tailings Reach to staging sites along the Middle Grande Ronde River, and restoration work across 15 miles of small streams including Spring Creek, Dark Canyon Creek, and Pelican Creek. The scope of work prioritizes the placement of large woody debris and gravel to increase habitat complexity, add roughness, and promote out-of-channel flooding. These activities are intended to enhance hydrologic production, lower stream temperatures, and increase riparian deciduous vegetation.
