View moreThis notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties are requested to submit a capability statement for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. All responses received by the Government within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract actions based upon the responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole-source purchase order to BAE Systems Information and Electronics Systems Integration, Inc. for repair supplies and services supporting the APX-123 Common Identification, Friend or Foe (IFF) Digital Transponder (CXP) systems. This requirement includes non-recurring engineering, reliability and sustainability improvements, qualification, testing, repair, and modification support. The contractor will also provide spare parts, repair parts, change kits at multiple certification levels, and the necessary labor to fulfill these delivery and repair requirements. BAE Systems is identified as the only source possessing the proprietary technical data, knowledge, and experience required to perform the effort.
