CFLHD provides engineering and construction services on projects in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Kansas, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming on behalf of Federal Land Management Agencies and other Agencies. These Agencies generally include: the National Park Service (NPS); USDA Forest Service (Forest Service); U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS); Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) and Tribal Governments; Bureau of Land Management (BLM); Department of Defense (DOD); U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE); and the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR).
This work will be associated with Federally funded road, bridge, and trail projects with the majority of work being funded through the Federal Lands Transportation Program (FLTP) and Federal Lands Access Program (FLAP) from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA)(Public Law 117-58), also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL).
Engineering services will include all pertinent highway, bridges, trails and a wide range of work needed to conduct planning, scoping, preliminary and post-design services to prepare contract documents in support of several federally funded programs administered by CFLHD.
Projects are typically located in environmentally sensitive areas that necessitate context-sensitive design techniques and processes.
