The BAART contract is awarded as a multiple award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, which offers the most flexibility for the work under this contract. The PWS is structured to support basic and applied research, technology concepts, analysis, development and integration; systems concepts, analysis development and integration; and technology demonstrations, including flight demonstrations. The BAART procurement groups technical tracks of work described in the PWS as follows: (Technical Track A) Advanced Materials and Structural Systems, Aerodynamics, Aerothermodynamics, and Acoustics, (Technical Track B) Systems Analysis and Concepts, (Technical Track C) Entry, Descent, and Landing, (Technical Track D) Measurement Systems and Autonomous Technologies, (Technical Track E) Flight-Critical and Intelligent Flight Systems.
