The U.S. Geological Survey, Forest & Rangeland Ecosystem Science Center (FRESC) intends to make a non-competitive award to Oregon State University (OSU), College of Forestry, Corvallis, OR to provide access to the Universitys network facilities and information technology (IT) and statistical consulting services for forestry and other natural resources scientific research activities. Services to be provided are for basic computing support including the following; network account in the OSU Forestry Active Directory; access to licensing and technical support for a common pool of scientific and statistical software; access to shared data storage space for collaboration between FRESC and OSU researchers; regular backup and recovery of shared data-storage space; statistical consulting in support of scientific research; technical user support and training; electronic security. The NAICS code is 518210 Data Processing and Related Services with a size standard of $25M. The Government intends to award this requirement non-competitively in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i) and the procedures of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. This will be an indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery five (5) year contract with an estimated award date of 03/15/2012. This notice is for informational purposes only.
