6250 Ballast, Lamp
DLA Troop Support is issuing a pre-solicitation notice for lamp ballasts under NSN 6250-01-420-7257. The agency plans to establish an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a one-year base period and four one-year options. This procurement is restricted to Avtechtyee Inc. (CAGE: 30242) under Part Number 8186-1, as the item is currently proprietary. The annual estimated quantity is 800 units, though this is a non-binding estimate. While the government is currently limited to a single source, it will evaluate alternate offers if a complete technical data package is provided. The solicitation follows FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15 procedures, with price as the sole evaluation factor. The formal solicitation was issued May 27, 2026, with a closing date of June 30, 2026. Performance is based in Philadelphia, PA, with FOB Origin delivery and destination inspection. The government intends to award to the identified sole source but has included provisions to evaluate alternate offers. Offerors proposing alternatives must submit technical data for both the approved part and the proposed substitute. Selection is based on the lowest price from a responsible offeror meeting all terms. A single-award IDIQ contract will be issued to the responsible offeror with the lowest price conforming to all terms.
