The Department of the Air Force, through the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) at Tinker Air Force Base, has issued a pre-solicitation notice for the remanufacture of C-130 Fuel Boost Pumps. This requirement, identified under purchase request FD20302501813, involves the disassembly, cleaning, inspection, maintenance, re-assembly, testing, and finishing of pump units to return them to a like-new condition. The Fuel Boost Pump (NSN 2915-01-394-8476, PN RR54860A-1) is a submerged aircraft component made of aluminum alloy that transfers fuel within the aircraft and utilizes dual impellers for operation during normal and inverted flights. The government intends to award a firm-fixed-price, five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract, with a delivery schedule of 20 units every 60 days after receipt of order.
The acquisition is classified under NAICS 336413, Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing, and PSC 2915, Engine Fuel System Components, Aircraft and Missile Prime Movers. There is no set-aside designated for this requirement. Performance will take place in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, with finished units shipped to the DLA Distribution Depot at Tinker Air Force Base. Because this part requires engineering source approval to maintain quality, qualification requirements apply. Prospective vendors not previously qualified must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) package to the Small Business Office. The government contemplates a sole-source solicitation due to limited approved sources and existing unique design capabilities.
A formal solicitation is expected to be issued on or about June 1, 2026, with a response deadline of July 1, 2026. Amendment 01 to this notice, published on May 18, 2026, incorporates specific and general technical orders and includes one attachment titled Amendment-01_technical order(s).pdf. To receive technical data, offerors must submit a request on company letterhead including an approved DD Form 2345. Written responses to this notice are required and must specify the offeror's business size and ownership status. The primary point of contact for this requirement is Mark Green.
