NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) hereby gives notice of the Government s intent to award a sole source 5-year IDIQ contract to Hologic for Thin Prep Processor reagents and supplies for the New Jersey Healthcare System, East Orange Campus located at 385 Tremont Avenue, East Orange NJ 07018. The East Orange campus is requesting a 5-year IDIQ for reagents and supplies for their currently owned equipment (Hologic T-5000 thin prep). It is the Government s belief that the proposed candidate is the only one that can provide New Jersey , East Orange with the supplies that are needed. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees and the Federal Supply Code (FSC) is 6515 (Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment and Supplies). The reagents and supplies are necessary to perform cytological specimen processing. These specimens are obtained from the Women s health clinics, Operating room (Surgery), Gastro-Intestinal (GI) clinics, Oncology clinics, Interventional radiology clinics, Oral surgery, urology clinics and all the CBOCs. The request is highly involved in our diagnostic application for the patients. They will be ordered on an as needed basis.
