NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE TO 8(A) FIRM

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Atlantic (NAVFAC LANT) intends to award an IDIQ Firm Fixed Price, sole-source 8(a) contract, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, to PIKA International, 12723 Capricorn Drive, Ste 500, Stafford TX 77477. The Government intends to acquire this service using FAR Part 19.803. This contract is for Munitions Removal Actions for Material Potentially Presenting an Explosive Hazard Processing, Certifying as Safe and Shipping, at the former Vieques Naval Training Range at Vieques Island, Puerto Rico. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. Interested firms may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact. Small business concerns are encouraged to participate. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested sources who submit proposals are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. Please provide past performance and references regarding your ability to provide supplies and services along with your Statement of Capability. The Government will not award a contract based on the information received, nor reimburse participants for information they provide. Information provided is strictly voluntary.
