DESCRIPTION: NSN 6140016339444 BATTERY, STORAGE Item requires a Dual First Article Test (FAT): Contractor First Article Test (CFAT) - Number of units required to be tested: 12 Batteries, 10 Cells, requisite compound, 2 electronic component assemblies, 2 cell assemblies. Government First Article Test (GFAT) - Number of units required to be tested: 23 Batteries. Item also requires Production Lot Testing (PLT) of 6 batteries and 6 cells. It is a Critical Application Item with Shelf Life and Hazardous Material requirements. If waived for FAT, deliver up to 6,000 each in 150 days; additional quantities up to 6,000 each to be delivered every 30 days thereafter. If FAT is required, add 330 days. The Small Business size standard is 1000 employees. Drawings/specifications will be available through the DIBBS solicitation link in the synopsis on the solicitation issue date. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5years. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
