Design, Fabrication, and Installation of AOC Wide Signage

The Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Engineer, is conducting market research through this sources sought notice to identify potential contractors capable of designing, fabricating, and installing campus-wide signage in Washington, DC. This project aims to replace existing signage to assist visitors and satisfy requests from Congressional leadership and the US Capitol Police. The requirement focuses on consolidating entrance signage, establishing a clear information hierarchy for security and prohibited items, and creating a unified aesthetic across the Capitol campus. The project builds upon a completed programming phase that established a concept signage package featuring nine sign types for approximately 240 locations.

The anticipated scope of work consists of four separate task orders. Task Order 1 involves design services to modify the concept design signage package specifically for the Senate jurisdiction. Task Order 2 covers the development of messaging for each sign type at designated locations across all jurisdictions. Task Order 3 requires the preparation of shop drawings for every sign at each location, and Task Order 4 encompasses the final fabrication and installation of the signs.
