IT Network Outfitting

PLEASE SEE QUESTIONS WITH RESPONSES IN THE ATTACHED AMENDMENT 01 The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) serves the educational needs of dependents of military and civilian employees by providing PK-12 grade instruction to approximately 72,000 students. The number of students varies based on the deployment of military troops worldwide. DoDEA is divided into eight districts that administer 167 brick-and-mortar schools. The Americas Southeast and Mid-Atlantic districts have 54 schools in seven states, Puerto Rico, and for administrative purposes, Cuba. Europes South, East, and West districts have 65 schools in England, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, and Bahrain. The Pacifics West, East, and South districts have 48 schools in Korea, Japan, and for administrative purposes, Guam. In addition, DoDEA operates a fully accredited Virtual High Schools, with its main office in Virginia and with teaching hubs in Germany and Okinawa. DoDEA has a requirement for hardware and installation of the hardware in newly built DoDEA Facilities and for life-cycling outdated equipment in existing schools and facilities in the following areas: DoDEA schools in Americas DoDEA schools in the Pacific DoDEA Schools in Europe DoDEA Virtual Schools Each year, DoDEA will need to upgrade or install new IT infrastructure to allow for effective operations. Over the next 5 years, DoDEA plans to add, or refurbish approximately 20 facilities that will either require upgrading or complete outfitting if it is new construction. This requirement is for the supplies and services necessary to outfit the facilities IT infrastructure. Due to the rapid upgrade to this type of equipment, DoDEA anticipates adding updated revisions of products covered by this contract through contract modification Scope of work: The contractor shall provide all the required services and equipment required to outfit DoDEA schools and facilities worldwide with information technology network infrastructures. The network outfitting will include, providing data networking equipment, Voice over Internet Protocol equipment (VoIP), Video Teleconferencing (VTC), wireless access points (WAPs), patch cables, cable management equipment, power distribution units, hardware warranties, inside delivery and installation services. The contract will cover all DoDEA facilities.
