Geothermal Generation - Slim Well, F. E. Warren AFB, Wyoming

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, is soliciting proposals for the F. E. Warren Geothermal Generation Project under solicitation number W9128F24R0024. This initiative seeks to explore and characterize geothermal resources at F. E. Warren Air Force Base, located east of Cheyenne, Wyoming. The scope of work involves drilling a geothermal well to a maximum measured depth of 14,000 feet to measure the thickness and test the properties of the Hartville Formation and underlying formations, including the Guernsey, Flathead, and Pre-Cambrian Formations. The project’s conceptual design focuses on measuring the temperature, pressure, and productivity of these formations to determine the presence and viability of geothermal resources.
