View moreThis project will provide an approximately 8,202 gross square foot building consisting of a multi-story, high bay area to house the CRH-OFT simulator, with a single-story area containing CRH mission planning, briefing and debriefing rooms, administrative areas for training and support staff, OFT maintenance and parts storage rooms, secure and non-secure tele-communication rooms, latrine facilities and mechanical, electrical and utility support rooms utilizing conventional design and construction.
The building will be of permanent construction with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, wet sprinkler fire suppression, fire detection, access control, direct digital control, and utility management. The exterior walls will be constructed with cavity wall construction including interior non-load bearing metal studs (or CMU wall backup at Simulator Bay) with gypsum board and exterior CMU veneer and metal panel. Air space and insulation to be located inside the cavity wall to meet Energy Code requirements. The primary roofing materials will be standing seam metal roofing to match other installation facilities and the perimeter sloped roof design will include a prefinished standing seam metal roof panel system over rigid insulation. The exterior walls will be constructed with cavity wall construction including interior non-load bearing metal studs (or CMU wall backup at Simulator Bay) with gypsum board and exterior CMU veneer and metal panel. Main entrance doors will be a pair of anodized aluminum storefront entrance doors with insulating glass including a sidelight. The Mechanical, Electrical, Sim Bay and secondary egress doors will be painted, insulated hollow metal door and frames with controlled access. Antiterrorism/Force Protection elements are incorporated. Supporting facilities include landscaping, utilities, pavements, storm drainage, sanitary sewer, site improvements, communications support, cybersecurity control systems, and tempest security.
