J--Award Notice for surface preparation, priming, and painting of exterior and interiors of US Dredge Wheeler located in New Orleans, LA

This notice is released to announce the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District requirement for a service contract to provide supervision, labor, tools, equipment, ventilation, paint, materials and supplies required to perform surface preparation, priming and painting of the interior and exterior aboard the US Dredge Wheeler as described in the Description of Work. Solicitation W912P8-09-R-0025 and other information pertaining to this acquisition will be made available electronically through the Federal Business Opportunities electronic posting system web link at http://www.fbo.gov. It is all potential offerors responsibility to monitor the fedbiz website for any amendments, updates, bidders library, responses to questions and answers. It is incumbent upon all potential offerors to download the solicitation and all other documents from the fedbiz website. No telephone requests will be accepted. The basis of award will be the offer conforming to solicitation specifications that provides the best value to the Government. The anticipated solicitation release date is on or about 12 Jan 2009 with a closing date estimated on or about 12 Feb 2009. This action will be Total Hub-Zone Small Business Set-Aside, the applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238320 and the business size standard is $14,000,000. The requirement will be procured as a firm fixed price indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a base and four option years under FAR 12, Commercial Items. NOTE: Contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for contract award.
