In order to support DOE reporting requirements, BSA requires all its vendors/contractors to be registered in the U. S. Government supplier database entitled System for Award Management (SAM) with their Unique Entity ID number (UEI#). Registration can be performed online at www.sam.gov. If not already registered, please register as soon as possible since failure to do so may preclude BSA from doing business with your organization. Please note that there is no charge for SAM registration. When registering, you are strongly urged to copy and paste www.sam.gov onto your browser address rather than utilizing your search engine. Utilizing your search engine may redirect you to an erroneous site. You may obtain assistance in completing your registration by contacting the Federal Help Desk at 866-606-8220 or by contacting your local Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), which can be found at https://www.aptac-us.org
*Foreign vendors are not required to be registered in SAM but must fill out a AMS-Form-050 (Enclosure B) when applicable.
3. Equivalent Guidelines:
The parts or model numbers are listed for reference purposes only. Any alternate products being offered shall have equivalent, or greater, performance parameters to those specified. Suppliers that are offering alternate products shall list the manufacturer, model, and part numbers for the product. When quoting an alternate product, please provide sufficient documentation to permit thorough evaluation of the equivalency of your offer to the product specified. BSA reserves the right to determine equivalency.
Any resulting purchase order will be subject to the attached Terms and Conditions.
Brookhaven National Laboratory, a Department of Energy contractor, has issued solicitation BG477134 for the procurement of an MM500 Nano Ball Mill Mixer with accessories or an equivalent system. This acquisition is categorized under NAICS code 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing and PSC H266 EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS TESTING- INSTRUMENTS AND LABORATORY EQUIPMENT. All equipment must be delivered to Upton, New York, with a final performance deadline of September 30, 2026, to coincide with the fiscal year-end.
Vendors must provide an all-inclusive firm-fixed-price quote by April 23, 2026, including the Unique Entity Identifier, country of origin, and lead time. To satisfy Department of Energy price justification requirements, submissions must include a published price list, a redacted invoice from a previous customer, or a webpage screenshot showing current online pricing. While specific model numbers are referenced in the solicitation, alternate products are permitted provided they meet or exceed the performance parameters of the specified equipment.
Domestic contractors are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), though foreign vendors may instead complete an AMS-Form-050. The solicitation includes two attachments: a draft purchase order and the laboratory’s commercial product terms and conditions. Beth Gilman serves as the point of contact for this requirement.
