Notice of Intent to Sole-Source to BioFire Defense LLC for laboratory testing supplies and kits

The Department of State Office of Global Acquisitions, Acquisitions Management, on behalf of the Office of Global Operations, Logistics Operations and Supply Chain Management, intends to award a firm-fixed-price Blanket Purchase Agreement for Biomerieux laboratory testing supplies and kits to BioFire Defense LLC. This requirement, identified under solicitation number 19AQMM25Q0012, is classified under NAICS 325413 In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing and PSC 6630 CHEMICAL ANALYSIS INSTRUMENTS. The primary place of performance is Arlington, Virginia.

This acquisition is conducted under the authority of the Multiple-Award Schedule Program, specifically FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B), as the government has determined that BioFire Defense LLC is the only source capable of providing the unique and highly specialized supplies required.
